A Red Velvet Cake for the Birthday Boy

Tomorrow is my husbands birthday (yay!) so today I am getting started on baking his birthday cake. He loves red velvet cake so I think I’ll make him very happy by making it for him 
I haven’t made a red velvet cake in a while, but I do have a special recipe for one that is honestly the best recipe I have ever had for red velvet I thought I would share it with you all! I think this recipe is so fun too because it has ingredients in it that you wouldn’t think you would use, but they make the cake AMAZING!

RED VELVET CAKE 2 cups of all-purpose flour1 teaspoon of baking soda1 teaspoon of baking powder1 teaspoon of salt2 tablespoons of unsweetened, cocoa-powder (I think Dutch chocolate is best)2 cups of sugar1 cup of vegetable oil2 eggs1 cup of buttermilk2 teaspoons of vanilla extract2 oz. of red food coloring (You can add more or less depending on how red you want the cake)1/2 cup of plain hot coffee ***Has to be really hot, this makes the cake super moi…
